Sometimes simple results belie complex negotiations.

Wanting room to convert his cars to electric vehicles, as well as more bedroom space and storage, an airline pilot approached me to help solve his family's residential needs.  Added to the design challenge was the desire for a front elevation that was more dynamic and welcoming than the original 1957 split-level facade.

A great deal of attention has gone into the points of access to the house - the stairs, patios and decks that are traversed daily and can connect house-dwellers to their surroundings.  This required providing the clients with multiple rounds of options, addressing every portion of the design.
